Device Code Retrieval
  • I am the admin for my active911 account for my FD.  It seems that guys are changing phones often and I constantly have to login and look up what their device code is.  Is there a way active911 can allow them to retrieve their own device codes?  

  • I would second this as well. It would be useful.
  • Users can see their device code by logging into the website themselves.

  • If your device doesn't show up then your Department/Agency Administrator needs to login and under the Users tab they need to enable the option that allows you to View Devices.

  • Brice - There are a couple reasons your device might not appear when you log in. The most common cause is the device is registered with a different email address than the user account you're using to log into the account.

    Sometimes the internet browser you use to access our website can be a problem as well. We recommend using the most recent version of either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. In the past, users have had issues with Internet Explorer, so we don't recommend using that browser to access our website.

    David - editing a user so they have the "View Devices" permission would work, but it isn't necessary. That option would give the user the ability to see all of the devices in the account, as well as their device codes.
